First night in town, I had a very nice visit with my cousin Rod
and his wife Gina.
Gina and I got along wonderfully from the start. I loved her shirt,
and she loved my license plate and stickers!!
Don't ask me where all they took me. I was just overwhelmed by
the scenery. I do know we stopped in Cody, WY on the way back
for a great meal at the "Proud Cut Saloon".
Rod was a little upset because smoke from fires in several states
were making anything in the distance look hazy.
Can you see the outline of the Indian Chiefs face as he looks up
to the skies?
How about in this one??
At an amazing look out spot.
Sculpture made of metal that looks almost real.
Rod was surprised to see this cow Elk and calf in the lowlands.
I spotted a silvery thread running down this mountain.
Rod was again surprised (after checking with his binoculars)
that water was running this late in the year.
You can see at the bottom of the photo, the dark spots
where the water ran down the face of the cliff.
Rod and Gina coming up from the creek.
This morning Gina took me back to one of the spots
we visited yesterday for a nice hike while Rod went
to Golf with a friend. We walked and talked (I may have
done most of the talking) and just enjoyed the cool morning.
That's it for now. Gina just called and invited me over for
dinner. Tomorrow will be a day of searching out some
trout streams. More later!!
