When I went yesterday I took a straight route from the reservoir to the Hot Springs. It was actually further
than if I just go from the campground. Anyway, most of the road had just been "tarred and chipped". They have signs up to travel 30 mph and keep a good distance between the person in front of you so you don't get
chipped windshields. There was no one in front of me, but some jerk in a dump truck pulling a flat trailer was coming from the opposite direction going about 60 and sprayed me with gravel. I saw 2 chips in the windshield right away (and cursed him appropriately). This morning when I get in the car, I see my windshield is cracked on the passenger side at the top and curves over to the mirror. The driver of the truck got cursed again.
Looking down on the soaking pool I used all day. Twenty
minutes in the pool, then out for 2 hours. I soaked 3 times!
Walkway that winds through all the places the mineral water
comes up from the ground. The grayish part is like the stalagmites
that you see in caverns from the mineral deposits over the years.
One of the springs that isn't flowing
Looking down to where the overflow from the springs empties
in to the Big Horn River.
Active flowing spring
