Zion National Park- Aug. 30 2013

I was told to make sure I went here by a good friend.
He said it was "one of the most underrated National Parks."
I told this to a female Park Ranger, and she said,
"Maybe 20 years ago, but the secret is out."

This park had some of the most beautiful scenery.
Pictures don't do it justice.

Look closely at this picture. Do you see the black spot
near the center bottom of the cliff?

There is a tunnel that runs through that mountain, for
1 and 1/8 of a mile. There are openings like this at 4
different spots, and it's a good thing. Before reaching
the first opening, I had to put my headlights on high
beam to see where I was going.

Not the long tunnel. There was no place to pull over
and get a photo of it, so I had to settle for this short one.
