From Torrey, Utah to Green River Utah 9-1-13

OK, this was an all day drive, which I had no planned
stops. Just drive, and if I saw something I liked, take
some pictures. It turns out I took (I think) 138 pictures
and 89 of them made it on this blog. I had a hard time
omitting some of the ones that didn't make it.

I cropped this picture to take the road off the bottom,
and half the sky from the top. I think this came out
REAL nice.

It rained all morning, and drizzled until about 2:00 in the
afternoon. I think it brought out some color that you
wouldn't normally see.

It was pouring here and they had 3 sections of park you
could drive through. Two of them were closed due to flash
flooding.

Oh yea.... the reason I pulled in to this park.
I stayed in a motel the night before because it was
raining. The girl working the front desk said I
should drive through because they had pictographs
on the cliff walls done by native American Indians.
The next 3 pictures show some.

If you enlarge this one, you can see names on the
right. The legend has it that these early settlers put
their names on the wall, except for a few.
All the ones that didn't put their names on, died.

Not sure what this was. It was along the road out in
the middle of nowhere.

All the green in the next two pictures is supposed to be
lake bottom, at least in the spring when all the run off
from melted snow and rain fill it.

I saw this from a distance. It is such an odd shaped rock
that I thought at first it was man made. It may not be, but
some man made a hole in the bottom of it. It looks almost
like a road goes in to it.
